There is far more to it than a pair of flares and a tank-top. For many it is a lifestyle. From Costume Jewellery to a 1930s Swimming Costume, from 1940s Land Girls to 1950s Rockabilly.

Whichever era is your penchant, step away from the 21st Century and it’s homogenous High Streets and enter the world according to VINTAGE!

Time for Luncheon? Do you remember Spotted Dick? He’s not an unfortunate individual, simply a pudding from the past. This, and other ‘proper dinners’ will be on offer in the NAAFI should you feel the need for a little sustenance during your vintage retail exploration.

Maybe Vinyl is your thing? You have the chance to purchase an original radiogram, transistor radio or Long Playing record plus of course listen to the authentic sounds brought to you by some amazing vocalists.

Perhaps you prefer a little dirt under your nails? Outside the establishment will be an absolute plethora of classic scooters, bikes and maybe a vehicle or two! ..well, it’s absolutely exhausting and you will have to retire to the super vintage tearooms to partake of an afternoon tea of gargantuan
proportions.

Let’s face it dear, GHD’s are passe embrace the coiffeur but, with any luck the Shell Suit will never be de rigueur again. Some things should never be rediscovered!!

What is an epoch? An era, a period, an age, a time. All this is on offer to you to enjoy and partake of. Please join us for what promises to be a day out not to be missed. Last time in May,  saw 2500 through the doors for the first event in the same venue.

One of the Organisers of the Scarborough Vintage fair said:

“This is the second purely vintage fair . Earlier this year at The Spa, we held Scarborough’s first ever Vintage Fair, featuring classic cars, scooters and bikes on display outside, lindy-hop dance workshops and entertainers on stage, even a Hair & Beauty Salon, plus 50 stalls of Vintage sellers who travel from up and down the country.

“This time we’ll have a dedicated Vintage Tea Room, NAAFI Cafe Menu, on stage Fashion Shows,  Live Entertainment and of course the 50 Vintage stalls.

“We are also pleased to say that our local charity St Catherine’s Hospice will be joining us. We will be giving them a free space to sell their wares and putting on a 1940′s fashion show with them. So, there will be 2 fashion shows from 2 eras – 1940′s & 1980′s, the latter being put on by two local girls, known as “Treasure Trunk” (Sophia Ward & Melissa Foy).”
